Grandma Mooner Lost Her Voice

Written by Frank B. Edwards
Illustrated by John Bianchi

Grandmother Mooner cannot visit her grandchildren because she has “lost her voice.” Mortimer and Melody love talking to her so they search for her voice all over town — visiting all her favourite places from the opera to the gym. While they don’t find her voice, they realize that despite her age their grandmothers leads a very fulfilling life.

They went to the health club. Grandma Mooner had recently bounced her way to the county aerobic championships.

They looked in the lockers. And behind the water cooler. And under the exercise mats. There was no voice, but Mortimer found two shoelaces and a polka-dot headband.

This sweet story about a humorous misunderstanding is a warm tale of love between two generations.

As usual, illustrator John Bianchi adds a zany dash of humour to a simple rhythmical text that is fun reading for parents and children.
